Maidu is a thriving family neighborhood stretching from Douglas Boulevard to Old Auburn Road with Johnson Ranch on the east. The expansive Maidu Regional Park sits at the heart of the community, offering 152 acres of recreational, historical, and natural attractions.
In addition to wetlands, towering trees, trails, and play areas, the park is home to the Maidu Museum, library, soccer complex, skate park, playing fields, and community center where locals gather for fitness classes. Families will revel in the pedestrian-friendly paths and sidewalks and Maidu Elementary (a Gold Ribbon School) offers before and afterschool care. Warren Eich Middle School is also just a few blocks away.
There are a number of small neighborhoods and planned communities throughout Maidu. An active neighborhood association keeps the area cohesive and has events scheduled throughout the year.
Maidu is surrounded by numerous shopping areas, dining options, and family attractions, including Johnson Ranch Racquetball Club, Roseville Shopping Center, Golfland-Sunsplash, various multiplexes, and Granite Bay Golf Club. Additional amenities and resources in the area include Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Sutter Roseville Medical Center, and Sierra College.
